Asia - Strong Economy Development

China has been implementing "reform and open" ever since 1978, its economy has achieved the remarkable result. In the past 15 years, the average annual economic growth rate reached 10.1%. China has become the world's fourth largest economics. The GDP in 2006 reached RMB20 trillion Yuan, with a growth rate of 10.7% over 2005. The foreign trade volume was more than 2 trillion U.S. dollars. Along with the rapid economic growth, industrialization and urbanization have brought the tremendous pressure for environment.

In 2006, Vietnam's GDP had risen to 8.4 percent and India's GDP has still maintained 8-9 percent growth rate in recent years. So, the rapidly developing economy of China, India, Vietnam and other countries in Asia has become the focus of the world.

With the environmental problems in most part of Asia still exist due to the problem left over by history and population issues and other factors, the larger filtration & separation multi-national corporation hence shift their investment to Asia to solve the problems.

The Asian market being the fastest economic growth area in the world, with more than half of the global population in Asia, has become the largest real and potential market of filtration and separation products in the world.

Enormous Demand from China

In China, the emitting volume of SO2 ranks the first in the world. The emitting volume of Carbon dioxide ranks the second of the world next to the United States. Disposing solid waste garbage, especially the urban garbage stands a low level. It is estimated that the economic loss caused by the pollution of air and water, which will reach 7-8 percent of GDP. So China government has greatly strengthened the control for pollution. During the period of The "11th Five-Year Plan", the investment of environmental protection will reach 1.5% of the GDP of the same period. The total investment is about RMB1.4 trillion Yuan. It will invest about RMB 300 billion Yuan and RMB 200 billion Yuan for treating sulfur dioxide pollution and controlling vehicle exhaust respectively.

So it is predicted that not only China will become the fastest growing nation in the field of filtration and separation industry of the world, but also the market scale will rank to the advanced place. According to the conservative estimate, the annual growth rate of China's filtration & separation industry will reach 10-15 percent.
